You don't need one unless you are prone to scratching/dropping your devices. If you do want one there are anti glare protectors out there you can get. I haven't seen definitive evidence, but the 512 is already anti-glare and I would assume stacking anti-glare on anti-glare would have negative results for image quality. TBF I don't think screens need screen protectors anymore unless the user is an exceptionally reckless person. Gorilla glass has gotten so good that tempered glass is not necessary for the vast majority of all phone users. Not to mention tempered glass doesn't always play nice with FP sensor. That's why we still recommend using a screen protector if you're worried about the Pixel's long-term durability. Replacing a scratched or shattered screen protector is easy.
