AlfaRomeo 8C 2900 - 1938 Mille Miglia Winner 1:8 SCALE The 8C 2900 was always destined for greatness, being designed for the fearsome Italian Mille Miglia and the formidable 24 Hours of Le Mans, and being engineered by the legendary Vittorio Jano.
Developedfor the new 3-litre Grand Prix formula of 1938, the 308 engine was similar to the 8C 2.9B monoposto engine, but with its bore increased by 1mm to 69mm (giving 2991cc), larger blowers, revised manifolding, cam and valve changes, which pushed the output to 295 bhp — well ahead of the 225 bhp of the 8C 2900B in Mille Miglia
