Its a good reliable gearbox, I've got 4 courtesy cars with this engine/gearbox and they're all good apart from one at 197k which crunches into 2nd gear. Alfa147, 156 & GT Oil Capacity of 1.9 JTDm I'm going to be doing a mid-service oil change for my own peace of mind, having just bought an 06 GT JTDm. The service counter says 7k miles til the next one and although it has a stamped book for the last service I'd rather do a change myself to alleviate any paranoia. Alfa Romeo Tonale

Anothercommon thing for JTD struggling to start if the starter motor is not spinning fast enough. Your EGR, turbo or catalytic convert do not have anything to do with engine starting. Could be a bad high pressure pump. Also, you did not specify which exactly 1.9 JTD are you talking about.

Anyway, ma deranjeaza sa vad pareri ale unor persoane neavenite, care mai mult ca sigur nu sunt posesori de alfa insa isi dau cu parerea in fel si chip.
Alfa147, 156 & GT 1.9 JTD swirl flap pics OK, so I thought it might be useful for other JTD owners to see the state my inlet manifold was in when removed.
